Intuitive software that guides the user

The dpiMAX software makes measuring with DataPhysics Instruments systems easier and more convenient than ever. Initially, the device settings are checked by the user, the desired measurement method is selected and then the measurement is started immediately.

The dpiMAX software has a clearly structured user interface that guides users through all measurement and evaluation processes using clear graphical elements. The next step is always just a click away.

dpiMAX is software that can be tailored to your individual requirements. You can select your preferred language, zoom the user interface to the optimal size for your screen, and work with the substance names commonly used in your laboratory. dpiMAX is compatible with Windows 11.

The clearly structured user interface of the dpiMAX software guides the user through all measurement and evaluation processes.

Simple operation and powerful capabilities

dpiMAX is a software that can be used by anyone, regardless of their level of expertise. Beginners can be easily guided through the measurement process and only the most important settings are shown to them. Experienced scientists, on the other hand, benefit from the ability to set and save many parameters for complex measurements as repeatable procedures.

In addition, dpiMAX can perform predefined procedures as simple, one-click measurements. This is particularly helpful for users who need to perform repetitive measurements. Thus, dpiMAX optimally meets the requirements of a wide range of user groups.

Intelligent and helpful additional functions

The dpiMAX software does much more than perform basic tasks such as controlling the measuring device and executing analysis algorithms. It is also designed to support users with intelligent functions and guide them optimally through the entire measurement process. This includes operating the measuring device and its modular components, performing the measurement itself, analyzing the collected data and reporting the results.

With intelligent prompts, dpiMAX helps users ensure measurements are both accurate and reproducible. This includes providing reminders about necessary information regarding material specifications.

All data securely stored

Whenever the user performs a measurement or analysis with dpiMAX, the generated data is automatically and securely stored in a well-organized database. This data can be easily and conveniently accessed by the user using the Xplorer.

Saved results can be opened in Xplorer for graphical display and comparison, as well as for adding further measurements or analysis. It is, of course, also possible to import and export measurement and analysis data, as well as images and videos. dpiMAX offers a particularly useful function for clearly presenting measurement results graphically: images and videos can be exported together with the evaluation lines and labels generated by the software.

dpiMAX – The Software Companion for the SVT 25 Spinning Drop Tensiometer

The dpiMAX software for the SVT 25 spinning drop tensiometer supports users by simplifying the definition of measurement sequences and the collection and evaluation of data.

Measurement methods for the SVT 25 Spinning Drop Tensiometer

The following measurement methods are available in the dpiMAX software for the SVT 25 spinning drop tensiometer:

  • Spinning Drop - Interfacial Tension
  • Oscillating Spinning Drop

Measurement of interfacial tension with dpiMAX

dpiMAX uses the spinning drop method to measure interfacial tension. The software provides video-based measurement and presentation of static and time- and temperature-dependent interfacial tension, based on the contours of spinning drops. A variety of calculation methods are available, including the Young–Laplace method, the Vonnegut method and the Cayas–Schechter–Wade method. Users can control the rotation speed and adjust the inclination of the measuring cell and the camera position. They can also perform automated calibration of the absolute drop size and use an automatic hold drop function.

Measurement of oscillating spinning drops with dpiMAX

Rheological analyses at interfaces are also supported by dpiMAX through measurements with oscillating spinning drops. The software enables relaxation analysis with predefined speed steps and sinusoidal speed changes, facilitating the determination of the elasticity of viscoelastic and viscoplastic materials.

The SVT 25 Spinning Drop Tensiometer offers two measurement methods: spinning drop (interfacial tension) and oscillating spinning drop.
